The Red & White Cherry Tree Chiyogami is a luxurious hand-printed paper using the silk-screen technique. In this laborious process each color is applied using a separate screen, sometimes as many as 12 colors, including gold or other metallics. Japanese Chiyogami is a very beautiful paper. We sewed this journal using the coptic stitch binding—an exposed spine that shows the spine of each chapter.
